Or how about Tim Geithner's 2010 Summer of Recovery?

These recovery predictions from disconnected Wall Street types is getting embarrassing.

Read my lips Cam... there will be no recovery unless and until balance sheets are honestly repaired. That means paying down and/or writing off debt.

See the $1.4 trillion deficit Washington is running? See the decline in the savings rate as consumers struggled to have a Christmas?

Endless increases in debt are not indications of a recovery. All your analysis are what I would call insightful and actionable.

I agree that most of the key world Indices, except China, are at various stages of breakout from their bear market range. Indonesia and US have pretty much broken out, Kospi, HongKong and the Euro Indices are about to do so while Japan is off the lows.

And that's a beautiful point about the LTRO - its really acting as a backdoor bazooka but it seems that the market has not realized that yet.

I primarily track Indian markets, which have just come off its major lows and have come to the conclusion that there is a very high probability that the Indian markets will go into a breakout mode in another few weeks time. Fundamentally driven by falling inflation and better corporate results and tecnically driven by clear MACD Histogram bullish divergences in both daily and weekly charts.

Amar Harolikar
Chartered Accountant
Trader - Proprietary AccountAmar Harolikarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01385164336335795215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-816559531110064247.post-39221928861968444622012-01-16T11:34:00.540-08:002012-01-16T11:34:00.540-08:00re:"buying weakness and fading strength"...re:"buying weakness and fading strength"

SO..you are saying.. buy low.. sell high

that’s really good advice .
